Parents Hub

Find all the essential parent info here, including term dates, holidays, and bus timetables. If you can’t find what you need, our friendly admin team is happy to help — contact us at office@matahui.school.nz.

Parent Communication

The school communicates with parents in various ways. Alongside newsletters, calendars, and announcements, parents receive regular emails from the principal and office staff.

School newsletters are sent out fortnightly via email. If you are not receiving the newsletter, please contact the office. Click here to read our latest newsletter on Skool Loop.

Skool Loop includes information on the school calendar, permission slips, notices, absentee reporting, and parent-teacher interview bookings. Click here for more information.

Bell Times, Term Dates & Events Calendar and More

For school bell times and information on our term dates and events calendar, click here.

For information on school bus pick up and drop off times, click here.

School uniforms can be purchased from NZ Uniforms online. For more information, click here. We have second-hand uniforms available in the staff room. Please ask at the office.

Stationery is included as part of your school fees. Students can bring their own pens and pencils in a pencil case to keep things together.

Homework consists of areas where students will benefit from reinforcement or follow-up on learning in class. We understand many of our students participate in extracurricular activities outside of school hours, and the value and skills these learning opportunities create.

For junior students (Years 1-2), digital technology is limited. Our Year 3–8 students require a Chromebook, iPad with a keyboard, or a laptop. We provide in-class access to digital devices for Year 3-4 students.
