At Matahui School we really value friendliness and caring for others. In Kowhai class we made friendship circles and imagined how friendliness was being shown in our circles.

Luna said “In my friendship circle we are sharing our ideas with each other.”
Isabella said “In my friendship circle we are kind to each other.”
Emma said “In my friendship circle someone was feeling lonely and we invited her into our circle. Friendliness is thinking about how others feel.”
Sammy said “In my friendship circle we are all taking turns in the game, so it is fair.”
Tyla said “In my friendship circle we are laughing together and having fun.”
Anna said “In my friendship circle we are giving someone a hand when they need it.”
Charlotte said “In my friendship circle one person got pushed over outside the circle so we went over to that person and helped her up and talked to her to see if she was OK.”
Hunter said “In my friendship circle we are playing with a boy who has just started school and we are showing him around.”
Callaway said “In my friendship circle one person didn’t know how to do something so we showed him how.”
Oliver said “In my friendship circle we are helping one person who got hurt.”
