Term 1 is underway at Matahui School, and it has been wonderful to welcome our students and families back to the school. Classrooms are once again filled with energy, curiosity, and connection as students settle into routines, reconnect with friends, and engage in meaningful learning.
We extend a special welcome to the new students and families who have joined our school community this year. Starting at a new school is an important milestone, and it has been heartening to see our newest students already building friendships, exploring their environment, and developing a strong sense of belonging.

Living Our School Values
Our school values sit at the heart of everything we do, and this term began with a focus on Respect — respect for ourselves, for others, and for the environment.
Each week, we recognise students who demonstrate these values through our Citizenship Awards.
Classroom certificates were also awarded to a number of students, recognising a range of academic, personal, and social achievements. These students are wonderful role models within our school community.
